storing elephant ears?

I am in the process of digging these up Now what to do? Let the dry? My DH put one in a zip-lock bag, this is not a good thing is it? HELP PLEASE

I am trying to figure out the same thing. I dug mine up, they are drying out now, and will put in paper bag with sawdust. I don't think they should be in plastic bags, I am afraid they will rot. Julie

I put mine in peat in a paper bag and I keep them in the crawl space under my house along with my canna's and dahlia's . Hope that helps some.
