Mixing glaze colors

Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum :)

I hope this isn't a terribly stupid question, but is it okay to mix glaze colors in order to cut the cost on buying glaze? Or does that not work out too well?

I'm trying to pick up pottery as a hobby again, I never got into the wheel (maybe because I plain stink at it), but I love handbuilding.
