I'm a newbie at this but I have a lot of area I could plant them in. I guess the first thing to ask is where's the best place to purchase bulbs. Any other info or websties to visit would be appreciated.
Thanks

Growing Amaryllis in California
Oh, cripes, that is just plain CRUEL to post a pic like that. I had one measly hummer flitting around my red mandevilla a couple times this summer. :>)
Hello.
There are many places to purchase amaryllis bulbs, and this time of year is when they are typically sold in the U.S. Easy to Grow Bulbs and White Flower Farm are a couple of places I've gotten them from. One caution that I heard is that although the big box stores sell them, the bulbs in the boxes aren't always what is pictured on the box. They're still quite pretty, though. You can also check your local nurseries or do a search on the web for other sources. There are many beautiful varieties out there, and many sources!
Hope this is helpful.
