point pelee mum

I almost bought a point pelee mum yesterday, but its tag indicated it was an annual, and no cold hardiness info was listed. I came upon a website that said this mum is cold hardy to zone 7. As usual, I'm doubtful, and just wondering if anybody has grown this mum as a perennial.
