I've been gifted with clematis seeds and want to know if these can be wintersown or if I should start them in a pot instead and when is the best time?
Growing clematis from seeds

Clematis seed take a while to germinate. You could try wintersowing to try to get a jump on the seed starting. Do you know what kind of clematis seed you have? Brian Collingwood had a great site that tracks his seed starting. http://www.bcollingwood.com/
Also, not sure if John is around, but I know that he started some clematis from seed and this year had blooms. John - if you are about, please chime in.
