I have three Mary Stoker Mums and three Scarlett Brocade Asters. I have had them in the ground for two years (this is the second summer) and the bushes are about 36" tall and loaded with buds. Unfortunately our season isn't long enough for them to flower. Have tried for years and while they are healthy huge bushes, they don't ever open up. I have much better luck with dahlias and lilies. But I could also use some tulips. I can fit three of each into a large priority box if I trim the bush and shake the dirt off the roots (I hope). Thought I would at least try. Hate to just pitch them. Just Dmail if you are interested.
Swap asters and mums for dahlias, tulips, or lilies.
