I found this on the side of the road as I was coming home from running errands .. sign on it said free - came complete with beveled glass shelves. As I was getting ready to put it in the car I noticed why it was free .. there were roaches all over it and in the tubes! They also had a small coffee table too for free it was crawling as well .. so I ran home, which was just around the corner and brought back some bug spray and sprayed the bajeebers out of it .. when no more roaches were crawling out of it I put it in my car and brought it home .. I will be using it for plants outside - I'll probably spray it with some black Rustoleum paint and seal the areas where the tubes are open so no more critters can take up residence. I won't be using the glass shelves but will make some slatted shelves for it out of wood .. I'm trying to come up with ideas on how to use the glass shelves. I can't help but wonder what the inside of the house where it came from looks like .. it must be crawling!
Anyone have any ideas (other than cold frame) for the glass, speak up!
