Sew your own bunk bed fort?

I am looking for a bunk bed fort or tent for my soon to be 5 yr old grandson. I found some Disney-brand bed tents online but the reviews are horrible; they last hours/days. So I am thinking about premade curtains and adding tabs w/ velcro? Any clever ideas?
