Do you think this is 'Wabash'? I rec'd it last night - am not clear on its height.

It looks like it. A picture should be 'head on' for easier ID. It will be a tall bearded if so. Check ht in plant files.

Does it have a bit of purple foliage at the bottom? Wabash has PBF.

Beaver Falls, PA(Zone 6a)

It does look like Wabash but as Sharon mentioned, check the bottom of the plant where the leaves are coming up from the rhizomes to see if the green has a bit of purple mixed in - PBF or Purple Based Foliage.

I will check mine but also let Anne know to check hers as well.
It was Anne's photo that she sent to me. All I have are rhizomes right now that I got from her the other night.

I'm glad to finally know the name of this one since it has been a favorite for forty-two years. Someone gave me a bunch of rhizomes in ninteen-sixty-nine and this and an orchid similar to it are my favorites. Maybe now I can find the name of the other one. Thanks. Luciee {;^)
