Newbie here with some general questions about Mosaic/Stained

Hey there!

This is my first post, and I love what I see!

My main question today (and I'm sure I have lots more) is being a newbie I haven't learned lots of things yet (and basically know what I have to learn). I've made about 7 pieces, mainly stained glass but lots of other things haah

Other than stability, and being able to place something outdoors, is there any reason that i can't glue glass on glass (like I've been) and then grout? Do I have to put down like a thin set first?
