I know it's still very warm on most of the country, but I think by the time we get interest up, and get the game going, then it will be comfortable enough . . .

Flytraps need FULL SUN all day and they need a dormancy period in winter. Go here for info!

I had it under the lights with the violets . . . my window only gets sun late afternoons, and I guess I was afraid it would fry, just like everything else in that heat . . . thanks for the link, tommyr2006! I will brush up on VFTs before I get another one. I just think they're kinda neat . . .

Oh my, our venus fly trap died back after a good year and half of growth, thern I composted it. I was not aware that they went dormant!!!

that's true . . . brb . . .

I put my carnivourous plants in the fridge for their winter dormancy, but they never came out of it! When they were alive in spring and summer, they did really great for me, so what a disappointment to lose them.
