My partner wants to rotavate a section of the garden and one of my Dahlias in the way! It's not looking too great at the moment, it's got mildew and looking a little bit past it but It's still flowering. Can I did it up and separate the rhizomes? or is it way too early to do this?

I'd say it's still too early to dig and divide.
