This Clematis is suppose to be Empress, now I don't know what it is. This came from Donahugh's wrong spelling

It is definitely not Empress or Empress of India.
It might be what you wanted, but it sure is a pretty bloom.

Donahue's sent me some wrong clematises, too. I won't buy from them again.
Marie, and Pirl I have to agree with you about this Clematis, I really like the color of it though. It looks ok with my Crystal Fountain, and they both flower at the same time, which makes it nice. By the way I didn't lose my Empress, after all I just put it on the other side of my CF.
I love the color combination of your very dark no I.D. and the blue of Crystal Fountain. They call those mistakes serendipity - it was destined to be!
I meant to tell you my DeVille is doing pretty good, the flower's are small, but there are a lot of them.
What it lacks in size it makes up for in quantity. I love it.
