I have read about people growing potatoes in black trash bags, trash containers, sided bins made of old pallets. Has anyone in the Carolinas tried that?...and how did it work out?
Our Irish Potatoes didn't do anything. Planted too late. No rain. Garden is clay, not enough organics.
The sweet potatoes loved it though. And they are right next to the Irish potatoes in the big garden.
I also planted some Yukon Gold. They tried to start...came along nicely...then all died due to the drought I think.
So, anyway...I am wondering about different ways to grow potatoes.
Potatoes in bags/containers.....
