Got lucky here. I brought in my young romaine just in case and put the chile peppers all in a corner of the deck. Ended up with maybe 1/2 inch of rain and 30mph wind gusts. Would have been lots worse if I were 20 miles east.

Glad you're safe .. I'm really worried about some friends who live on Oak Island. I haven't been able to get in touch with them at all!
Glad to report that we are in good shape. We are 12 mi. inland and we received 20-40 mph winds and about 3" of rain. Have not heard of any problems on our beaches.
