asparagus beetles. what to do???

I do not use chemicals in my garden. I have had a problem with asparagus beetles for the past 3 years. I have let ladybugs loose in the asparagus patch...that helps some. I drown the beetles, squish the larvae, and cut back the dead ferns as well as trying to keep the ground clear.....what else should or could i be doing???
