How long is amaryllis seed good? I have some that have been setting on top of the fridge for about 3 months. I am wondering if there is any chance they will germinate.
Amaryllis seed
at least a year-minimum, they still good if the seeds havent shriveled to nothing
Thank you! I will pot some up and stick them the kitchen windowsill.
Viability depends on storage temperature and air humidity. Lower temperatures and dry air (do not store in the kitchen or in a musty cellar room) are better. Particularly, humidity is detrimental. If seeds will be sticking together after prolonged strorage and, better yet, patches of mold are then visible, then game is over, rien ne va plus.
I will check for that. Mine are in the kitchen, but I have a big open kitchen with great air circulation so hopefully they will be ok.
