My bloom - NO ID

brainerd, MN(Zone 4a)

So I got the bulbs @ Christmas time last year. They were in a bowl of pebbles on top of my fridge. Let them dry out completely. Got a wild hair one day and planted them in the garden. Low and behold, one of them bloomed! Frankly, I have never put them in the garden before and the bulbs always get thrown out after they are done at holiday time. Guess I won't be doing that any more :)

Planting them in the garden is superior to container planting, however you must dig and containerize them before frost and freezes come. In your area the ground freezes too deeply to leave them outside.

Good to know. Thank you. I was wondering.

Yet another thin added to the list of things to do in the next two weeks :)
