Clematis 'Nelly Moser' in shade?
It would get a fare amount of sun, the tree is trimmed high, but will it grow ok under an evergreen? and will it climb the tree?
Thanks Angel

Yes, it will climb an evergreen as well as a tree. Just make sure when you plant it that you're not creating root competition. Set the clematis about a foot or more from the evergreen or tree and plant the clematis at a 45 degree angle and give it some support to lead it to where you want it to grow - like a small trellis about 18" high.
Nelly will fade if she gets too much sun.
