Tiki Torch

Delphi, IN

I was wondering if anyone has experience with 'Tiki Torch'. I visited the local nursery today and from the parking lot about 100' away I could see this bright orange orange flowers that just looked exceptional. Upon closer look, it was Echinacea 'Tiki Torch'. I really liked it but wonder how well it comes back each year.

It didn't do well here, but it might in your zone. I hear that north of here it does better. It's not the best "perennial" to me. I wish it was though. I love the color!

I have one in it's third or forth year. A part rotted this summer... we had the wettest spring/early summer (i think) on record. It has great color.

Thanks both for posting. I just talked to a gal at the farmer's market today and she said she has one and it's in its second year and really clumped up nicely. So I may give it a try expensive as it is. Coneflowers are such wonderful cut flowers and that bright orange would be nice in some summer bouquets.
