Hi all. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to get rid of fungus gnats in my pumpkin seedlings? The seedlings are about two weeks old and sitting in a south facing garden window. The seedlings look good and I honestly didn't think I watered them too much, but it has been pretty humid here for the last week and I just noticed them buzzing around a few days ago. Would neem oil do the trick? Thanks!
How do I get rid of fungus gnats quickly?
Sticky traps will work for the adults, but I don't know of a cure for the larva, except drying out a bit, or using a pesticide drench labeled for them. I have no idea what that would be for food crops.
I did spray them with some neem oil and that has seemed to work. I will reapply every couple days until they are gone. I'd like to try to get these seedlings in the ground ASAP but need to wait until this next hot spell passes. Thanks!
