While outside with my plants, found this lovely creature

Yardley, PA

He was also enjoying the Aloe flowers. His favorite is the salvia black and blue

They like Haworthis and Gasteria flowers as well.
A couple of questions Sally if you don't mind. When you put your caudiciforms in the ground for the summer you must dig them up to bring them in for the summer. Do you remove all the dirt and put them back in s/h? I would think that would be hard on the plants and a risk for setting them up for rot and damage. How do you remove the dirt?
Also with some of your large plants what kind of containers do you use? FirstRays large one don't seem big enough for really big plants.
Thank in advance,
Helen

I mean you must dig them up and bring them in for the WINTER.

Hi Helen, I do dig them back up, rinse off all of the dirt and put them back in the s/h. It doesn't seem to bother the plants at all. For bigger containers I just us a Restaurant Supply company and buy opaque food containers. I use Servu-online.com. There are a bunch of other sites. I then just drill the holes in.

Thanks Sally.
