I love garden art, but while my tastes go toward princely (princessly?), my wallet is that of a pauper, so . . .
I've wanted a St. Francis statue for a long time and had my eye on one at Lurvey's. At almost $200, though, it was not gonna happen. Lo and behold, one went on clearance because his hands broke off! I snapped him up, sure he would be at home in my garden, feeding the animals he loves. I simply got a small table about as high as his hands, put a cute bird-perched saucer on it and draped some burlap over his hands. I love the burlap with him because the saint did indeed live an austere life, loving earthly things of nature, not of man.
I really love how he looks in my garden?
Anyone else with a story of making good out of the imperfect?
Making lemonade out of . . .
Looks just lovely, and designed just for your garden. I need to think about the good/imperfect thing a bit :0
Great idea! ~Jan
