This is viticella Kermesina, planted about 4 years ago. It has never looked like this in the past. There are about 20 blooms on it now and they all look like this. My lawn was sprayed with Forefront in the fall. Could that have caused this to happen? The rest of the plant looke fine as does the other clem planted within about a foot of this one. Just the 1 petal on each bloom is colored as if it is half petal and half leaf. ??????????
Are you having strange weather, hotter than usual? I had this happen to a Barbara Harrington this year and was told things like this happen in crazy weather - hotter, wetter, etc. Here is mine.
Actually, yes, the weather has been strange but on the cooler side with an occasional scorcher thrown in. Guess I'll hang in there and see what happens next. At least yours is still pretty.
