I started Chocolate Salpiglossis from seed and planted it with a Cappuccino Potunia. The two look awesome together. Do you have any perfect partners to share?

Look at the size of that burgundy colored petunia! It's a beauty but you sure this wasn't mismarked and it's really Johnny's bean stalk? LOL! Nice combination..what variety seeds? Vesey"s? Thanks for sharing your photos.

Pippi21,

The solid dark flower is not a petunia. It is salpiglossis, AKA Painted Tongue or Velvet Flower. I think it is closely related to the petunias though.

That's really a pretty combo! Wonder if I can track down some Cappucino seeds--I have the chocolate salpiglossis.

I dropped the ball on container plantings this year--sorta just did some bulbs in most of them.
