Angelica gigas in sun?

I planted 3 Angelica gigas' I received in a trade. I just got through planting them in full sun. Then I decide to read about them and I find they do best in partial shade. Just one of my many bonehead moves.
Has anyone had success with them in full sun? Should I move them?
