It takes until late june for anything to really look at.
By July they will be lusceous.
Some are big disapointments.

These are a pair on the front forch.
Its an example of trusting the website for color. The RedCoat coleus looked pinker on RD
The Lantas bandana cherry was a deeper burgandy.
Tuff on me I'm not going to dig it up.

Thanks Pirl.I'll just live with it.

You don't like it? I love it too.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Its the pink and red combination that bothers me.
Everything else is great

It's the lushness that's terrific. An overflowing pot is ideal so you can't even see the edges of the pot.

Just make notes for next year to replace whatever you don't like. Would you have preferred a coleus that matched better? Would this El Brighto be closer to your original plans?

The coleus is fine. The yellow edges of Red Coat are picked up in Kingwood Karnival. The lantana was the wrong choice. I should have used the red lantana with yellow sccent.
Cant think of the name now. DD got some at the market. I dont intend to switch.

This is the lantana I should have used

The combo I made in the dead of winter using Bandana Cherry lantana

I can see why you used the lantana you did given the pics of the other three. But I agree, the lantana above would have been stunning. I have one growing with a lot of pink and yellow, and what I thought early on hasn't proven to be so stunning yet. Maybe as it grows.
