I have several different Baptisias planted in a bed together, and this year for the first time, I am seeing seedlings near each one. Maybe because I weeded the whole bed early and have only gone back to weed it again now. I know that the hybrids won't be the same as the original plants, but I am still curious to see what develops. I think I will need to put something around each group of seedlings, move them to a separate row when they grow a bit, and then weed again under all of the plants. I don't want all of my colors to blend together into one nondescript mass! I grew my original plant from seed so I know it can be done easily. Anyone who has seen what the hybrid seeds develop into?
