Can anybody tell me an effective tick control which will not destroy native bee populations? I've tried the mosquito-barrier garlic extract with very limited success. I live in a high Lyme disease area (Medfield, MA), and have pulled about 20 ticks off of myself and my 2 young children this year (by far the worst in 3 years of living here). I've put in several fruit and nut trees, and let the clover grow when the season comes bringing large numbers of honey bees. I hate the idea of killing off the native bee populations along with the tick problem, but I'm not gonna let my kids get Lyme disease either.
Suggestions?
