Bucyrus, OH(Zone 6a)

Finally got some blooms from one of the old ones that we moved last year. Have no idea what kind they are all I know is that they've been here for at least 45 years and probably longer than that.

Have absolutely no idea but I'm pretty sure I have one just like it.

Elgin, IL(Zone 5a)

It's really beautiful. I wish I could help.

Caldwell, NJ(Zone 6a)

Looks like Festiva Maxima with the white petals and a sprinkling of red inside

Elgin, IL(Zone 5a)

In color, yes, but Festiva Maxima is much fuller.

This is mine that looks similar. This bloom open on a very cool and cloudy day so it held its color better than if it had been sunny.

It almost looks like a semi-double form of FM. Really beautiful.

Moby your peony looks a bit like Raspberry Sundae

Does it fade quite a bit after a day or two in the sun?

I don't think so.Only thing I remember is it took several years before the blooms looked like the catalogues showed. I was actually quite disppointed at first but as the plant aged the color improved.

Mine seems to have that much color only under cool, cloudy conditions.

Elgin, IL(Zone 5a)

Mine bloom that way, but our sun bleaches the color out. After a fews days, all my pale pink peonies have bleached to white, and then of course I have the ones that ARE white. It taught me to add some with more depth of color.
