The container looks like clay fired in a woodfired kiln. I always wished I could woodfire my pottery. I lived in a neighborhood and not the country. Woodsmoke would have driven the neighbors nuts.

large containers do you fill them entirely with soil or fill them partially with something else to lignten the load?

Sometimes I use them as a container cover,and sometimes I fill them partially with something else .(mainly piecies of Styrofoam).

If the fog lifts and the atmosphere is brighter I will photo the lobelias I have.
These containers have only been planted about a week so nothing is filled out as it will be in a month or at least 2 more weeks.

They are all so beautiful, Tomtom. It's better than looking at fancy magazines.
Here are the lobelias and some torenias in case .I also included a new trailer for me,Scavola. I have both white and lavander.
I believe the lavanders in Lobelia and Scavols arent that outstanding. My eyes arent what they could be but it appears to me I could have chosen white and had the same affect.

I can't believe that your flowers are mostly seed grown! That is quite an achievement~~they look so voluptuous and well-grown. And many of them are rather rare varieties.

I am in awe at those planters. They are gorgeous. Thank you for letting us see them. I should start doing more in planter due to the voles eating my plants.
