I made a webpage for my Top Bar Hives/Bees

I made a webpage showing my nifty Top Bar Hives.
Near the bottom are some nice photos I took of my bees from the observation windows.

I'm in my second year with them, and I'm very pleased with them.

Hello diamondjfarms,
I took a look at your pictures of the top bar hives and bees - very nice! I am new to bee keeping (actually don't have any bees but have joined our local bee keeping club and been reading up on it.) My father-in-law has offered to build a top bar hive for me but I am having trouble figuring out how to get plans for it. Is there a web site or book that you can recommend? I have heard that in Texas, because of the heat, the bars need to be wider and the hive not as deep as the hives built for more northern areas.

All the bee keepers in our area use the standard hives that they get from Dadant or build themselves. They are interested in a large amount of honey whereas I am interested in having my garden and fruit trees pollinated.

I would appreciate any advice or recommendations you may have - thanks!

LadyPearl, here are some links, the last on gives some measurements. The actual size in not that important. What ever size wood you have on hand.
I made my bars 1 1/2" wide...give them lots of room, you don't want the comes running together.
