Spots on Lily Leaves..Ugh!

Louisville, KY(Zone 6a)

We have had nothing but rain here. Sun-less days...you get the picture. My lilies have spots of their leaves which I suspect is like blackspot. Some type of a fungus. Should I spray them with fungicide? I use Bayer Fungicide on my roses and I think it should help. What do you`all think? Do you think this might help? I appreciate your input as I will be very very very sad if my lilies die. Thanks....Lesley

Yep, with all of this rain we need to be on the look-out for botrytis and other fungi. If you have a fungicide handy then go ahead and spray your lilies from the soil up.

Thanks, Moby....I`m on my way out to do it right now!

I hope this is not the black spot you're referring to:

Lily beetles leave their eggs in their black, tarry excrement.
