All, there's a great blog for us (we?) upper midwesternern gardening - and crafting! - folk you might want to check out: http://fmanos.wordpress.com/ Fran Manos wrote "Midwest Cottage Gardening", a wonderfully witty, down to earth book that actually speaks to gardeners in our region. She's fun to read and pretty cool. Kayley, this shall in no way take away from your blog, petiolejunction - only add to the pleasures of wonderful writing! : )
A Great Blog for Upper Midwesterners . . .
The paper hat is too funny.
I enjoyed this very much and have subscribed! Thanks for the heads up sherriseden!
You're welcome!
Somehow I missed this thread!
That blog looks great, Sherri, thanks for sharing it. Just about to set to reading it. I haven't updated Petiole Junction in ages. Seems my life suddenly went from stagnant to strangely busy and PJ was the first to fall off my list of things to do. :(
Hehe...this thread made me feel guilty. I updated with a big long article on gardening on a budget. :)

Way ahead of ya, girl!! Already saw your update yesterday and thought "Craig's List! What a good idea!" I have a date with a fellow gardener found on Craigs List to go see some Magic Lillies!! : ) Hey, don't worry - life gets in the way of stuff we'd prefer to do all the time. I'm always ranting at God how unfair that is . . . : )
Craigslist is the BOMB for gardeners--seriously! And if you're a hostaholic like me, it's beyond whatever the bomb is. :P
Craig's List really..........hmmmmmmmmm maybe I should check it out. Son is always selling or buying something off craig list. I have never really looked at everything they have to offer. Will have to do that finally one of these days.
I'm tellin' ya, if you have a Smartphone (Android or iPhone) get the Craigslist app. If I could only have one app on my phone that one would be it. And today there was someone in Jackson, WI selling bareroot perennials for $1 each. Just saying. ;)
Went on got confused. Farm and Garden correct?
Usually. I just type perennials (or something specific) in the search box most of the time.
Let's see if this link works:
http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/search/?areaID=165&subAreaID=&query=perennials&catAbb=sss
Yay!!!! that worked wonderful. Boy will you look at all that stuff???????
Told ya. ;)
yep you shore did. :)
