Iris and Peonies together?

I would like to try planting my iris in from of my white peonies but not sure how well this would work.'
Any suggestions?

Just make sure that the peonies don't shade the rhizomes.

I have planted SDB's around my peonies. They are usually gone before the peonies reach their full height.
