Geum 'Mrs. Bradshaw'

Kure Beach, NC(Zone 9a)

Has anyone had experience growing Geum's? I just got a few for a great price and am hoping they won't melt in our humidity.

I'm in Hillsborough. I don't have luck with geum. Planted Mrs. B twice. Did well all summer, but never come back for me.

Got 'cha.

Since I got such a good deal, I may just treat them as annuals and hope they surprise me.

They came into the Garden Center where i work about a month ago and they've intrigued me, so when they went on sale, I snagged a some.

I'll keep y'all posted.

Love 'em to death, but alas, they always die for me. Have planted them repeatedly in sun and shade (they definitely cannot take a full day of our sun, or late afternoon exposure), in clay and in a raised bed. The ones in the sun fry, the ones in the clay rot, the ones in semi-shade in the raised bed do pretty well, but did not come back the next year. Good luck! They're worth the trouble

I'll try to remember to let y'all know how they do.
