What's Blooming in Your Garden?

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Come in and share infos. and joy of our gardens. Everyone is welcomed. When it's least expected, it happens. My Amaryllis that I've planted out in the shady garden. For several years it hasn't bloomed. So I thought it was a dud. lol Then one morning it surprised me.

Another one of my (many) favorites. Flowering maples. I've forgotten its cultivar. This plant too is hardy in my garden. This one, however flowers for me faithfully year after years.

Close up of 'Kim's Knee High' coneflower. This is the second year. The hybrid turned out to be quite adaptive. Though, due to semi-shade condition. This year it becomes tad taller than I remember the plant last year.

Speaking of hybridized echinaceas. Strange enough, the 'White Swan' and 'Sunrise' cultivas aren't hardy in the garden as Kim's KH and the species....I've noticed my White echinaceas repeatedly disappear each year when I planted them. And last year I planted 'Sunrise' along with this 'Sunset'. The 'Sunrise' didn't return but 'Sunset' did;

Here is 'Sunset' still in bud; (this one was planted last year).

kwanjin, those are lovely. How I love Lilacs and Bleeding Heart. It's practically 'summer' down here. temp. is in the 90'ish during the day, thus gardening chores is most pleasant when it's being done before high noon. Thank you for your contribution.

More lilliums in the garden this early morning;

Thanks kwanjin. My fav. of all tropical hibiscus. A pink semi-double bloom variety. Tropical perennials are NOT hardy here in my zone, however, a few fav. kinds are being kept indoor overwinter.

All the rain is making lots of those in the sunny bed bloom out. Red Yucca, blanket flower, sundrops, zexmenia to name a few.

All for now.

Sheila, what fab. pics.! I love cone flowers and the blue color of Balloon Flowers and Larkspur. I have had problem on the last two perennials for some reason. They're not long lived here in my garden. Great shots!
