Looks like we may get Coffee and Godiva shod up this week and make a local trail ride this coming weekend!! It's been waaay too long. I'll ride Coffee because she still needs to put on a bit of weight but she is coming along. Talked to the vet about her and he said we have had her on the equine equivilant of the Adkins diet. Too much protien. He advised us to cut her down to 10% protien and trade out half her sweet feed for whole corn. Also cut out the high protien supplement we had her on and she is getting plenty hay so we should see a difference soon. Still giving them all the soaked beet pulp. We are firm believers in it.
