Scarlet Robin (Petroica multicolor)
What a colorful bird!
It sure was pretty, nanny. Shame I only have one photo of it.
Must be a rare one to be seen then?
I don't think so, nanny. They aren't seen around where I live. They are more commonly seen in forested areas, although they spread out a little into more open areas in autumn and winter. This one was at a nature park on the flats near the hills.
Beautiful!! How lucky you are to have seen it.
Thanks, nuts. A stunning little bird. I was lucky.
