It is a self sewing annual; has square stems,and seems to be drought tolerant. It came up beside a plant a friend gave me. She calls it "chicken gizzard, but when I looked it up I found chicken gizzard is a perennial. I live in zone 6a.I have not found anyone else that grows this plant.
