When I first got "into" iris full speed, I thought I just had to have IDs but I guess I have mellowed. One thing I don't want, is WRONG IDs. What I do, is name all my iris with "real" names. After all, I talk to them (please tell me we all do that), and who would want to be called "NOID#15?". I come up with names I can remember, such as the one from Spring Hil, that was supposed to be Baboon Bottom, to be "Spring BaBo", or "Jeanie Wine" (given to me from Jean, of course). In my files, I put quotes around the made up names. I also use quotes around the ones that I question or have been suggested to me as "similar to --". Of course, you have probably noticed by now, that I am fixated on " "s.
