Thanks, Its the nice thing about this - surprizes everyday! My fenestraria also decided to join the party about a 2 weeks ago. This is particulary satisfying because its 4 years old, nearly lost it twice, was down to 4 or 5 leaves at one stage - but look at it now.
Something I wanted to add for a while now in the caudiforms group - here is a nananthus alooides - I've had it for a good 4-5 years now and look its starting its own caudex! Ok not true caudex plant, but I think its looking better and better as it ages.

Thanks PGirl - I found the long stalk on the flower interesting - did not expect that....unfortunately it is difficult to see, but the flower is a fair way from the plant.
I always like the flip side of the seasons in your pictures. My Tylecodon paniculatus looks terrible right now, six months after it leafed out all green and nice.
My halfmens plant looks like a middle-aged hippie.
And about a week ago my torote (Pachycormus discolor) started going yellow, even as it continues to sprout at the tips. When I got this plant as a stick it was an article of faith that anything would ever come of it. Seasonal differences are huge.

That "halfmens", which is a name the KOI people gave it I think, one of the oldest peoples of the world. It is fairly rare to find the for sale here in SA. So even if you can get it more easily, look after that one - love them.
