My neighbor has a border of Stella d Oro and wants to divide them. She asked me if she could do this now, or have to wait until Fall. I would be inclined to do it now - they are lush and full, and not just coming out, and her border would look nice if they were divided and interspersed.
But I'm no expert - Fall is probably best but would it be ok now?

Go ahead and do it now. They'll be fine. They say to divide after they bloom, but it's so hot here by then! I just divided a bunch of mine.
