Melaleuca Alternifolia (Narrow Leaf Paperbark)

Singapore, Singapore

I'm from Singapore and will be touring Melbourne, Vic from 22 Apr 2011. I love visiting nurseries. I would like to buy this shrub as the leaves give off a pleasant fragrance (tea tree oil). It seems this shrub/tree can be found in NSW. But does anyone know which nursery in Melbourne that might sell this plant.

Hope to hear from plant lovers living in Melbourne.

Merino, Australia

Quite a few of the Melaleucas will have that lovely scent but I would be careful planting one if you are taking it back to Singapore. Some of them are real pests in different environments. .

Churchill, Victoria, Australia(Zone 10a)

I searched the list from the Kuranga Nursery which has a huge range of native Australian plants, but it does not stock Melaleuca alternifolia. You will therefore have difficulty finding it in Melbourne.
