ID of this dahlia that was alleged to be an Alfred Grille

I purchased this last year from a nursery that was selling a local Columbus, OH Dahlia society's offerenings. This was from a basket labeled Alfred Grille. We had an extraordinarily hot summer and many plants refused to bloom until it cooled down in September and October. By that time we a few nipping frosts. This photo was actually taken on October 20 and there is probably some frost damage.

Anyway, I gather that this is not an Alfred Grille, so what is it likely to be?
