What does it look like? What color? I'm looking for a houseplant amaryllis I had 40 years ago that was coral and not hardy. All the old ladies had it. Now that I am an old lady, I want one too! Luciee {;^)

Years ago, a member of The Amaryllis family,called Clivia was sold by nurserymen.It is often yellow,orange or red. in various shades.It was a very popular house plant. The var miniata was most popular.

Wow, I googled this one and it seems there are a lot of variations on it, they can't all be right. Even the PlantFiles pictures are very different. It appears it is a hybrid rather than a species but which one is a mystery.
