Well the weather has been really crummy here rain and snow or the other way around but that's petty compared to other places right now.
I was able to get a few photo's of a male Belted Kingfisher fishing and tolerating my presence at the same time. Usually these birds fly off but not this time.
Pipe Creek Wildlife Area part 5
Wow, Burd, what an opening sequence. Love all the images but they are fantastic shots of the Kingfisher. Your flight shots just keep on getting better and better.
Great shots Burd! Love the action with the Kingfisher!
Love the confused Coots along with the others!
wonderful pictures, thank you. I've never been able to see a kingfisher.
Great job catching that Kingfisher!!
lovely shots. Too much fantasy reading, vulture looks dangerous. ☺
Well done with the owl, Burd and congratulations. Beautiful shot of the Meadowlark.
Love the Kingfisher, Owl and meadowlark which looks far different from the larks we see, especially the beak! Looks stronger and longer.
Burd, Congratulations on the new bird (Short-eared Owl) !!!!
Wonderful shots!
Congrats on the Owl Burd! That shot of the Meadowlark is fantastic!
Splendid shots of the Kingfisher, they are amazing!!! Love the coots and ducks as well. Congrats on the first Owl.
Burd, great photos. Love the kingfisher and congrats on the beautiful owl-well done!
Thank you all! I have a couple more images of the Short-eared Owl..nothing to write home about as far as quality..but there are 2 of them at the creek now. Unfortunately the weather and time have been working against me to get back out there. I did visit Ottawa NWR and have a couple of images from there.
