Hope that ours appear soon. I have to get out last year's log & see when they bloomed. their area is clear.

Please post pictures when they do bloom. I had hoped to get some last fall to plant but I never did. Got so many other kinds of bulbs that I knew I couldn't do more. They do look so pretty in any pictures I see of them blooming so I figgure they would be good to have.

These little flowers are what I look forward to.....I know when they bloom, everything will be blooming soon after. I can find one from last year and post it........I have several clumps and planted new ones last fall. I hope they all come up!

Those are so nice. What a way to welcome spring.

They will be blooming this week if the weather is warm and the sun is shining! (I think this one is named "George")

"George" finally bloomed yesterday! Today the second clump bloomed out. I also found a yellow one and a purple clump.

I think that yellow might be I. danfordi. (spelling on that one).

Lafayette, IN(Zone 5a)

That is correct! (according to my order anyway). Thanks!

Amazing how quickly they bloom! All the waiting for it to happen and then all of a sudden they are here!

Lafayette, IN(Zone 5a)

And a new clump planted last fall is just starting to bloom. There are 2 more buds....one on each side.

This is another clump of "George".

I. Katherine Hodgkin should be blooming soon...will post pics of that one too!

Mine look more purple outdoors but in the photos always look blue. Love those large clumps that say "look at us."

Lafayette, IN(Zone 5a)

The purple/blue clumps have been planted for 3 or 4 years. The maroon clumps are going on their 2nd year blooming.

Does the folliage get tall after the blooms are gone? I always love the pictures of the flowers.

Lafayette, IN(Zone 5a)

Yes, the foliage gets quite tall after the blooms fade...........maybe 12 inches or so.
