Hi all, I am wanting to start growing some culinary herbs this year. I was wondering if I could grow them in containers on my front porch, it is south facing with lots of windows. I am in a new house, and don't have time to put in all the gardens I want the first year. Any ideas? Julie

Most herbs will tollerate a wide variety of conditions. You could even grow them in pots outside. A LOT of herbs do great in pots.
Hi dignbloom :) I think you will find that most herbs would be just as happy and at home in pots as in a bed. Also, some of the culinary herbs have the most beautiful flowers if allowed to go that far. I have grown mints in pots just to help keep them in check. Plus, you could bring in some of your favs for the winter. Answer is "definitely"
:)
thanks all!! I will have the best smelling porch in Greenfield! Julie
