how to get rid of it ??????
Does anyone know what this invasive weed is and
Around here, that is known as Henbit or Dead Nettle (Lamium spp.). It is a winter annual, and there are probably millions of seeds/seedlings of it around.
It is very simple to pull, but you probably have lots of them. It is flowering in your picture, which means going to seed isn't far off. Then, the plant dies for the year.
Soooo...you can just wait it out, but expect to have more next year, or get about pulling the ones you have before they set seed. Spraying with any broadleaf weed killer or a Roundup/glyphosate product will work too, if you prefer that method.
Thankyou so much ViburnumValley
Looks like Lamium purpureum, Purple Dead Nettle. Henbit (Lamium amplexicaule) has clasping leaves rather than petioled leaaves
